When creating a website that requires membership to view certain content in Drupal you may want to allow anonymous users access to premium content teasers. A preview of locked content can be a great way to encourage site visitors to register for your website. While Drupal does not have this functionality out of the box there is a new module for Drupal 7 that allows you to do all of this and more. The "Node Option Premium" module "adds a new node option Premium content along with core publishing options (Published, Promoted to front page, Sticky at top of lists). When a node is published as premium content, only users with proper privileges may view the full content of the node. Non-premium users can still access premium nodes but only get the content rendered in teaser context, even when trying to view the full content. An additional message informs them that the content is available to premium users only."
It is this very module we here at Think Pod are using for Pam's World. Feel free to visit the site and see the "Node Option Premium" module in action.
